Do’s: 1. For your convenience wear garments that allow for easy dress and removal.
NOTE: You will be covered at all times. Only the areas being massaged will be exposed.
2. Bring 6-8 ounces of water for after your treatment. NOTE: Massage releases toxins and water helps flush the metabolic waste through the lymphatic system. It can also improve blood flow creating more oxygen and nutrients in muscles.
3. For shoulder-length hair or longer, please bring an accessory to place your hair at the top/crown of your head. This keeps it out of the way for the therapist and is more comfortable. A ponytail at the back of the head can be uncomfortable when lying on your back.
Dont’s:
1. No large meals at least 2 hours before your massage.
NOTE: Massage can stimulate the digestive system, which may stimulate the bowels.
2. No alcohol for at least 4 hours before a massage.
NOTE: A) Alcohol thins the blood causing bruising easily. B) massage increases circulation hence increasing affects of alcohol.
Preparing for Your Massage
Before your session, please communicate any injuries, medical conditions, or areas of discomfort with your therapist. This allows us to tailor the treatment to your needs and apply the most appropriate techniques for your condition.
What to expect after your massage?
You may experience some soreness, etc. The body may respond to muscle manipulation by initiating an inflammatory response that causes soreness.
